Reliance Infrastructure Limited (RInfra) is one of the largest infrastructure companies, developing projects through various Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) in several high growth sectors such as power, roads, metro rail and airport in the infrastructure space and the defence sector. The company is also a leading utility company with presence across the chain of power businesses such as generation, transmission, distribution, and power trading. RInfra, through its SPVs, has executed a portfolio of infrastructure projects under BOT such as a metro rail project in Mumbai and eleven road projects with total length of about 1,000 kms. RInfra, along with its wholly owned subsidiary company, has installed capacity of 441 MW of power and distributes power to over 40 lakh consumers in Delhi. RInfra also provides Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) services for developing power infrastructure and road projects.

On May 22, 2025, Reliance Defence Ltd entered into a strategic partnership with Germany’s Rheinmetall AG to set up India’s largest integrated defence manufacturing facility in Ratnagiri, Maharashtra, aiming to become one of the top three defence exporters in India.
On May 7, 2025, Reliance Infrastructure Limited increased its stake in Reliance Power Limited from 23.18% to 24.90% by subscribing to 9.55 crore equity shares for Rs. 315.15 crore (US$ 36.88 million) through the exercise of warrants on a preferential basis.

In January 2021, Reliance Infrastructure Limited successfully completed the sale of its entire 74% equity stake in Parbati Koldam Transmission Company Limited (PKTCL) to India Grid Trust (IndiGrid) for an enterprise value of ~Rs.900 crore (US$ 124.25 million).
In January 2021, the company successfully completed the sale of its 100% stake in DA Toll Road to Cube Highways and Infrastructure III Pte Ltd. for an enterprise value of ~Rs.3,600 crore (US$ 497.03 million).
Reliance Infrastructure won a major Arbitration Award of Rs. 1,250 crore (US$ 178.85 million) against Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC).

This project involved the construction of 66 kms of road on high density traffic zone and the project was planned to get completed in two years from the date of commencement with a concession period of 17 years. Company’s name was changed from Reliance Energy Ltd to Reliance Infrastructure Ltd.
